John Roome (aka Witchman) is a Los Angeles based British Composer/Producer that has released 2 critically acclaimed albums "Explorimenting Beats" and "Heavy Traffic" (Deviant Records) and produced the likes of Finitribe (Infectious Records). Co-written a remix album with Jammin Unit (of pioneering electronic German artists Air Liquide)as well as beat-heavy side projects such as the Unknown Ghosts. Add to this his programming and production work on Ian Astbury's (The Cult) solo album 'Spirit, Light, Speed', The Jungle Brothers, The Orb and Danish noisemakers Livstrompet. He also contributed beats to David Toop's album 'Spirit World' (Virgin Records). On the remix front he has reworked tracks by Clawfinger, The Creatures, Black Sabbath, lan Astbury, Fields of the Nephilim, Gary Numan, Curve, Cornershop, J-lo and Nikka Costa etc, with compilation inclusions running well into double figures. He was also producer and member with the innovative UK chart topping electronic act The Orb.
As Witchman, he also scored the adrenalin fused best selling Sega Xbox 360 game Full Auto, followed by the PS3 sequel Battle Lines. More recently, the game Dead Island Retro Revenge.
John has scored the films The Brave (Netflix), Sad Vacation, Rolling Stone: The Life and Death of Brian Jones, Apocalypse, Cute Little Buggers. Crying Wolf, Chariot, One in the Chamber, Messengers, Dead End Road, Acts of Death, Want, Able Danger, Deadtime, Lonely Joe and the Edinburgh Festival favorite Song of Songs. He has also provided material for John Leguizamo's 'Undefeated', Stephen Seagals 'Into the Sun' also Cold Case, The Prisoner, Supernatural, Robbery Homicide, Nip/Tuck, Las Vegas, CSI Miami, CSI NY, Legends, The Mysteries of Laura as well as John Carpenter's 'Masters of Horror'.
Add to this John also works heavily in creating score and sound design for film trailer campaigns such as the smash hit movies DEATH RACE, LIVE FREE, DIE HARD, WE OWN THE NIGHT, PATHOLOGY, SECUESTRO EXPRESS, 28 WEEKS LATER, RAMBO 4, MIAMI VICE, PRIEST, TRANSPORTER 3, CRANK 2, TRANSFORMERS 2, INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS, THE MECHANIC, REPO MEN, THE LAST AIRBENDER, A-TEAM, UNSTOPPABLE, THE NEXT 3 DAYS, ASSASSINS CREED, HALL PASS, 12 ROUNDS, THE HUNGER GAMES, IN TIME, FRIDAY THE 13TH (REMAKE) NINJA ASSASSIN, IRON MAN 2, DRIVE, SNITCH and THOR.
John has recently wrapped the score for the indie sci-fi movie Black Box. Future scoring projects include Surviving Alba, Styrofoam Soul (featuring Norman Reedus and Brady Corbet), American Karma and Zero Saints.
His Witchman produced track "First Name Trouble" feat. Marz was featured in the hit movie Neighbors.
